Freedom Gives Back During Thanksgiving
For the month of November, Freedom held a food drive in all nine branches to support the Food Bank of Western MA. Altogether, members and staff of the credit union collected over 300 lbs of food and over $1,030! This drive was organized by 98.3 WHAI-FM in Greenfield.
In Springfield, Barry Crosby, President and CEO, made an appearance on Rock 102's Mayflower Marathon and presented a $2,000 check to the Open Pantry of Greater Springfield.
According to the local food banks, a $1 donation equals $9 worth of food. That means, Freedom donated $27,270 worth of food from these two donations alone!
