As we enter the holiday season, our thoughts turn to the members of our military, the brave men and women who give so much to protect and defend our nation. While they face challenges all year round, time away from their families is often the most difficult during the holiday season. The USO helps to ease this difficulty by helping to keep our military connected to family, home and country during their service to our nation. Throughout the month of November, we are raising funds to help this vital effort and encourage you to join us and support the Pioneer Valley USO.
Westover ARB in Chicopee is the largest air reserve base in the nation and home to about 5,500 military service members and their families. There, the Pioneer Valley USO works to provide the best programs and services to service members and their families. This includes:
- Entertainment and events
- Food pantry
- Transition programs
- Information services
- Travel services and gifts
- Holiday celebrations
- Rest and relaxation
- Connectivity
Many of our members and staff have served or currently serve in the U.S. military, or have family and friends who do, which means that this cause is near and dear to all our hearts. We hope you will join us in supporting those who keep us safe and their families, especially during the holidays when time away from family is most keenly felt. We are accepting cash donations at all our branches through Friday, December 2.
