With over 20,000 people experiencing homelessness in Massachusetts through the harsh winter months, it’s the ideal season to offer them the gift of warmth. During the month of January, Freedom joins other state credit unions for the 10th annual Gift of Warmth blanket and clothing drive benefitting the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless.
New blankets, warm clothing, hats, coats, gloves and scarves will be welcome donations. This year new, warm pajamas will also be accepted. FCU employees and members can make a difference by donating at any one of our 11 branches. More than 7,200 blankets have been donated since 2011 to those in need throughout the state.
FIGHT FRIGID WINTERS WITH WARM ACTS
“Because of the Gift of Warmth blanket and clothing drive, children across the state can have a warm night’s sleep,” said Glenn Welch, President and CEO of FCU. “We’re pleased to collaborate with other local area credit unions to assist the homeless population of western Massachusetts this winter.”
We invite you to stop by any one of our 11 branches to make a donation that will change someone’s life.
