Each month, Freedom Credit Union provides its members, staff and community with an opportunity to support a local nonprofit organization making a difference in the lives of local residents. For September, Freedom is proud to partner with the Alzheimer’s Association to raise awareness and funds through its participation in the local Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday, October 26 at Holyoke Community College.
Through September 30, community members are encouraged to visit any Freedom Credit Union branch to make a donation to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
“Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia touch so many families, including our own staff and members,” said Freedom Credit Union President Glenn Welch. “We are proud to support the Alzheimer’s Association and participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, helping fund their critical work while honoring those we love who are affected by this devastating disease.”
In addition to collecting donations throughout the month, Freedom Credit Union will also field a team in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on October 26, joining thousands of participants across the region in the fight to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.
The Alzheimer’s Association is a trusted national nonprofit with a mission to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research, provide and enhance care and support for all affected and reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
To donate, visit any Freedom Credit Union branch now through September 30. Every gift brings hope and support to families affected by Alzheimer’s.
