Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) combine the convenience of an ATM with the customer service of a teller, available by video to assist you with your transactions.
While ITMs offer all the transactions you expect from an ATM, they also take convenience to the next level with enhanced capabilities.
Connect with a live teller during branch hours for:
- Personalized service. Through video chat, your teller can assist with answering questions, loan and bill payments, transferring funds to another member and more.
- Added flexibility. Withdraw cash in precise denominations, including coins, so you can get exactly what you need. Withdrawals can also exceed the $500 ATM limit.
- Card-free convenience. If you forget your debit card, simply use the ITM’s ID scanner to verify your identity.

What transactions can I complete at an ITM?
At an ITM, you can make cash or check deposits, withdraw money, transfer funds between accounts, check balances, make loan and bill payments, instantly verify checks, conduct account inquiries and transfer funds to other Freedom Credit Union members. With teller assistance, ITMs also allow cash withdrawals in multiple denominations, including coins, and above the $500 ATM limit.
When can I speak to a live teller?
You can connect with a live teller via video chat at any point during your transaction during regular branch hours. They can assist you with a variety of transactions, including those requiring additional support or verification.
Can I use an ITM without my debit card?
Yes! If you don’t have your debit card, you can still perform transactions with the help of a live teller by using the ITM’s ID scanner to verify your identity.
Are ITMs secure?
Absolutely. ITMs use advanced security features to protect your transactions and personal information. Video chats with tellers are secure, ensuring your data remains confidential. For added privacy and security when discussing sensitive account information, members can use the handset or type in their information using the chat function.
