Hunger and food insecurity affect people everywhere, including in our own communities. We hope you will help us help your neighbors this summer by donating to our annual summer food drive to benefit The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.
Last year, The Food Bank provided the equivalent of 9.6 million meals—the most ever in their history—to families in Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin and Berkshire counties. Beyond simply providing food, The Food Bank also strives to provide nutritious food. While few people die of starvation in the United States, malnutrition and diet-related diseases are far too common, which has long-term consequences.
Through Friday, September 27, we encourage you to visit any of our 11 branch locations to donate healthy, non-perishable food and personal care items. Excellent options include:
For safety, we are unable to accept donations in glass jars or bottles, homemade food, unlabeled items, severely dented cans or baby food.
Thank you in advance for your support. Together, we can help build a stronger, healthier community.
